My Opinions on whats going on in WT land - Insider Information

first off, i'd like to state that i currently have "privileges" in the congregation and volunteer at bethel on and off throughout the year.

that's as much information as i will currently give about myself.. starting off, i think something big is coming in the form of lawsuits and bad pr.

they seem to be batting down the hatches in preparation for something the last few years and even more so the last few months.

I really do think that ''strange instructions'' which ''may not seem strategic from a human standpoint'' is a way to pound into the rank and files' heads is about giving money hand over fist. If this rumour about shutting down branches all over with the exception of that ivory tower Warwick, could be demanding even more, but ''ready to obey''. Someone said the other day that they could spin it at we're right on the brink of the big A, sell everything your house, vehicles and send all money to the Borg, you no longer need it.

However, should nothing happen, the fall out would be immense.

Britain Branch Construction - UPDATE

definitely something going in the london bethel.. i thought i'd ask them again (and record it again) what the situation was regarding the new britain branch construction work.. i got the same sister (debbie) and here is how the conversation went: .

me: i've been told that construction of the new branch has been stopped - is this true?.

debbie: no, it has not ceased, it's carrying on as normal - can i ask where you're calling from?.

and if a member of it's board of directors is telling the costs are higher then the profits,.

How will many JW's react ?

i did not believe i would see the demise of the wt in my lifetime, and maybe i will not, they may be able to ride out their present problems.. but how do you think this will affect the average, loyal, believing jw ?.

usually most things just wash over them, if there is a slight niggle, they use their well-worn way of explaining things to themselves as in "the end is near" or "jehovah knows best" etc etc.

but the huge sea-change in corporate policy that we see unfolding, all construction work stopped, except warwick and maybe their biggest project, chelmsford u.k. huge bethel layoffs, and the lifestyle of the remaining staff reduced to virtual slavery, more bethel closures, spiritual food reduced for the public as well as the r&f, and all of this being the opposite of what they have claimed was evidence of jehovah's blessing ???.

I'm betting the rank and file will just chalk up all these latest developments as ''we all must be ready to obey any instructions whether they seem strategic from a human standpoint or not''. They will just look at it as being obedient and won't even bat an eye to it.

So I just finished reviewing Cedar's new post at jwsurvey. It does seem that many bethellites are disgruntled and disillusioned. Many people now have the consensus that ''are we getting ready to obey instructions that don't seem strategic from a standpoint?''

Theocratic School changes a distraction from the problems?

i find the timing of the new mid week meeting rather strange.

we all know jw's love their carrot on the stick, they salivate over speculating what the new releases will be at the convention.

with all these problems going on, layoffs, child abuse, money issues, building halts etc... what better way to have your average jw ignore it than to completely change up the meeting.

I agree with the depressed soul. A totally convenient way to cover all the problems is to dress something up like the mid-week meeting. Very, very convenient.

The poignancy of that May 2015 broadcast was something off the charts. Directly asking for money by that guy. If the average JW doesn't think that something is wrong, they gotta wake up!!

I've heard too that they could use an assembly hall to accommodate what's called a ''super large congregation''.

Summary of "Imitate Jehovah" convention

this is just a brief summary of the convention this past weekend at the ah in la feria, tx .

attendance was 1100 and 9 baptized, two of them very young.

the elder that gave the baptism speech let out that the day before there was 6 baptisms.
